Final 4 Recap
Just as last week surpassed previous highs, this week’s matchups had the highest voting turnout in the tournament with over 1,000 votes in each poll. Each of the four stocks have large fan bases and passionate followers on Twitter. It made for an exciting week.
3 Fastly handled 11 Roku with ease. It collected 72.4% of the vote and had a big lead from the beginning. Roku was the surprise of the last round narrowly beating 16 Tesla, but it could not handle the strength of Fastly this round. So far, Fastly has coasted in the tournament. Its lowest winning vote percentage has been 67.3% in its matchup against 8 Crowdstrike.
The exciting matchup this week occurred on the other side of the bracket where 12 Sea Limited went head-to-head with 14 Teladoc Health. Teladoc got off to a fast start in this matchup building an early lead on day one. Sea Limited slowly caught back up and by the end of the day was growing its own lead and seemed to have taken control of the matchup. At its height, Sea Limited was up 55% to 45%, but then Teladoc began making another push and crept back to even. With 6 hours left in the matchup, Teladoc took the lead. Despite the disbelief of many on FinTwit, Teladoc Health defeated the three-headed monster of Sea Limited. With 1,266 votes cast, Teladoc Health moved on to the championship having won 51.3% of the votes.

Prediction
This week, I am picking Fastly to finish its dominant run with a victory over Teladoc Health. I should note that I picked against Teladoc last week, and we can all see how that turned out. I am a shareholder of both of these companies, and I am excited to see what the future holds for them. Nevertheless, voters can only choose one to become #FinTwitChamp. I know that many of these last few matchups have been toss-ups for many people. Some have even compared them to trying to pick a favorite child (note: I do not advise running a march madness style tournament to select your favorite family member).
Tough matchups like these should not dictate how we invest because investing does not have to be an “either or” proposition. Still, having to run through the mental exercise of picking a favorite between a couple of companies is a good thing. It forces us to figure out the reasons why we like particular companies and can help us to either strengthen or lessen our convictions.
The Schedule
The championship will span 4 days.
It will start on Monday morning and last through Thursday.
A final recap of the championship will be posted at the end of the week.
Thanks for Participating
I am enjoying sharing this tournament with all of you. Thank you for the engagement! We have finally reached the championship, and it looks to be a good one.
I am looking forward to seeing how these companies are perceived by FinTwit and am thankful that we do not have to eliminate either of them from our own portfolios. Each week, we learn more about what FinTwit thinks about each of these stocks. This has been so interesting and a blast to facilitate. Thank you for all your kind words the past few weeks. I hope you all have a great weekend!
